Climate Change Debate
(Updated and Re-posted)
We have been inundated lately with Climate Change "science". All of this can be overwhelming. There has been a great deal of attention throughout the Blogosphere(the Blogging Tories in particular). So, in interest of making this much easier to sift through(or at the very least have a good collection of information), I've linked to a some resources available for the "Climate Change Skeptics" out there:
To begin, we'll start with a recent entry of mine; a series of mp3 clips from a show on CFRA. Via Oficially Screwed
This is a fantastic show, full of science and discussion on the IPCC report.
Car and Driver had an article about the Movie and Inconvenient Truth. Basically it is a discussion on the kyoto accord and the effects of water vapor - An inconvenient truth: SOS from Al Gore.
We have a cornerstone of the "Climate Change Skeptic" argument with the Friends of Science videos - "Climate Catastrophe Cancelled: What You're Not Being Told About the Science of Climate Change"
There is the Competitive Enterprise Institutes "A Skeptic's Guide toAn Inconvenient Truth "
A great blog can be found at World Climate Report
The Center For Science and Public Policy has issued a report - IPCC Fourth Assessment Report 2007; Analysis and Summary
The Cato Institute offers Long Hot Year:Latest Science Debunks Global Warming Hysteria - a critical look at computer models and their usage on the "Climate Change Theory".
The Boston Globe had put out an Article on Richard Lindzen, an MIT professor of meteorology who has stood against "Climate change alarmism" - MIT's inconvenient scientist
TCS has an article called Settling Global Warming Science.
Captain Capitalism has some good comentary and a temperature chart - One More Time, For the Stupid People
The Chicago Times Sun has an article about IPCC progressions(thanks to Small Dead Animals) - What's so hot about fickle science?
A former Green Peace president, Patrick Moore, left Greenpeace due to politicization (thanks again to Small Dead Animals)
The Copenhagen Consensus lists climate change (Kyoto protocol and carbon taxes) as "bad projects"
Often times we run into people out there discussing our sources as being paid by oil companies and the like. It is my experience that the source used is often Sourcewatch. I did a little checking into this organization a while back - Source-watch? Watch your sources..
An article on some of the costs of the Kyoto Protocol. Billions lost in Kyoto carbon trade loophole
IPCC IPCC Working Group I Contribution to the Fourth Assessment Report of the IPCCSecond-Order Draft - Thanks to Canadian Blue Lemons
I know I've missed some great links, and if you see any I've missed please let me know via email or comments and I'll add them(with credit).
